➿Fixing Double Input
🎮 Fixing Double Input with HidHide
If your game is detecting two controllers at once, causing weird aim or movement bugs — you probably need HidHide to hide one of them (usually the physical controller). Follow this guide to set it up in minutes.
🧩 What You’ll Need
✅ Your physical controller (e.g., Xbox, PS4/PS5)
✅ DS4Windows (already installed)
✅ HidHide (we’ll install this)
📥 Step 1: Download HidHide
🛠️ Go to the official HidHide page: 👉 https://ds4-windows.com/download/hidhide
Scroll down and click the latest HidHide Installer (e.g.,
HidHide_Install_X.X.X.X.exe)Save the file and run the installer.
Follow the steps in the installation wizard.
✅ You’re done when it says “HidHide has been successfully installed.”
🖥️ Step 2: Open HidHide Configuration Client
After installing:
Open the Start Menu
Search for “HidHide Configuration Client”
Launch it
You should see a window like this:
🧱 Two tabs:
Devices (where you hide/unhide devices)
Applications (where you whitelist trusted apps like DS4Windows)
🕹️ Step 3: Hide Your Physical Controller
Go to the Devices tab
Find your controller in the list (e.g., "Wireless Controller" or "Xbox Controller")
🎯 Tip: If you're unsure, unplug it → refresh → plug it back in and look for the new entry.
Check the box next to it — this hides it from the system
✅ Done! Your controller is now hidden from games/apps directly
🤝 Step 4: Whitelist DS4Windows
Switch to the Applications tab
Click the ➕ plus icon to add a new app
Navigate to your DS4Windows folder, then select:
DS4Windows.exeClick Open
DS4Windows should now show up in the whitelist list
✅ This ensures DS4Windows still has access to your controller while games don’t
🚀 Step 5: Restart and Test
Close the HidHide client (it works silently in the background)
Restart DS4Windows if it was open
Open a game or tester (like Gamepad Tester: https://gamepad-tester.com/)
You should now see only 1 controller detected 🎉
